Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 30, 2026
SpaceRecycle is built around a simple promise: it never does anything on your device without you asking. This page explains exactly what that means for your data.
The desktop app collects nothing
- No telemetry. The app sends no usage data, analytics, or crash reports anywhere.
- No account. There is no sign-up, no login, and no cloud service.
- Everything stays on your machine. Scanning, cleanup, the quarantine store, and the audit log all happen locally. Nothing is uploaded.
- No network requests for your data. Your file names, paths, and usage are never transmitted to us or anyone else.
The only files the app creates live on your own disk: the quarantine store (default %ProgramData%\SpaceRecycle\Quarantine), the audit log, and its config file. You can inspect, export, or delete all of them at any time.
This website
The website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-less, privacy-first analytics service. It reports aggregate page views and visits only — no cookies, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking, and no personal data stored. The site is fully static: no accounts, no forms, no comments.
Downloads
Installers are served by GitHub Releases. GitHub may record the download under GitHub's Privacy Statement. We only ever see an aggregate download count.
Children's privacy
Neither the app nor the website collects personal data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page.
